How to locate Google Chrome Elevation service on windows PC?

If you’re looking for the Google Chrome Elevation Service (elevation_service.exe) on your windows PC then first go to C Drive > Program files x86 > Google > Chrome > Application > 80.0.3987.163 (number depends on the chrome version on your PC) >  elevation_service.exe

Google Chrome Elevation service use cases

The elevation service is installed for Chrome’s recovery component and is used for updating chrome when it does not update.

It automatically updates google chrome when the algorithm detects that Google Chrome has not been updated.

How to disable Google Chrome Elevation Service (elevation_service.exe)

Step 1: Open Run 

Step 2: Type “services.msc”

Step 3: Next step is to search for Google Chrome Elevation Service

Step 4: Open Properties go to Startup Type > Disable > Click “OK”
